This is an outstanding post. Fungi have been overlooked as a cause of many chronic conditions, especially in the human Biome.
Animals, especially ruminants, are frequently treated with anti-fungals like Ivermectin. These treatments have no doubt resulted in life extension. Humans would do well to observe the results of these treatments. Horse paste already has proven its value to many people.
A good follow up post would be to discuss the state of the art research (much of which is in the alt science media) for diagnosis and treatment. Disclaimer: not medical advice, of course.
Interesting note regarding fungal infection inherited by birth, many antifunguls warn against pregnant women use, whether that's just because usage due to constituants is likely in my eyes, but its interesting to consider that their usage could disrupt something already taking place. Though unlikely it would be interesting to see how some form of controlled test of anti-fungals effect the birth of known carriers of various fungi
I wonder how similar your approach is te Terrain theory which was suppressed in favor of Germ Theory by various lobbying groups. Still was an interesting read.
